Miller Nash Graham & Dunn LLP has added attorney David Thompson to its Portland office. As a member of the firm’s leading cannabis industry team he will assist cannabis companies, from startups to market leaders, throughout the Pacific Northwest. Thompson previously served as general counsel for two large cannabis and CBD companies; he handled a variety of complex issues, including regulatory compliance, government affairs, licensing, employment matters, endorsement contracts, investor relations, supply chain, real estate, and construction. Thompson has experience managing rapidly growing human resource teams, and serving as general counsel and chief operating officer of the Portland Business Alliance. He also spent seven years as an employment law attorney in private practice in Portland. Thompson has a law degree from the Santa Clara University School of Law.
