Miller Nash LLP has added attorney Ben Pirie to its Portland office. As a member of the firm鈥檚 cannabis industry team, he will assist such businesses throughout the Pacific Northwest in a range of matters. He advises on mergers and acquisitions, complex contract negotiations, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance in the emerging cannabis and hemp industries. Pirie previously was a solo practitioner, and in 2015 organized the LLCs that received some of the first Oregon Liquor Control Commission retail licenses. He then practiced at a midsize, regional firm. Pirie has a bachelor鈥檚 degree from Duke University and a law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School.
