  • Design advice has been requested for renovations at an existing six-story, 95-unit apartment building, at 1839 N.E. 14th Ave. The proposal calls for new exterior cladding, HVAC upgrades, site upgrades, and nonconforming upgrades. The applicants are Robert Dell of Home Forward and Mark Schmidt of Holst Architecture. The project owner is Home Forward.
  • Early assistance is pending for a project at 3234 S.E. 136th Ave. The proposal calls for changes to an existing 62-unit affordable housing building. The number of units would increase to 117 and some of the existing buildings and parking would receive upgrades. There would also be new construction. The team expects to handle stormwater via dry wells. Todd Knudson of LRS Architects Inc. is the applicant and Innovative Garden Park LLC is the project owner.
  • Design review is pending for alterations to a non-street-facing facade for voluntary seismic upgrades at 724 S.W. Taylor St. Work would include infill of the existing basement door, a new exterior door and a new metal stair for maintenance access to the light well. Craig Stockbridge of GBD Architects is the applicant and Columbia Sportswear Corp. is the project owner.
  • Design review is pending for work at 930 S.E. Sandy Blvd. The work would legalize trellises over existing dining patios on both the ground floor and the second floor. The design review is in response to a violation. Ben Hufford of Design Department Architecture is the applicant and 930 Sandy Investors LLC is the project owner.
  • Design review is pending for work at 1407 S.E. 107th Ave. There would be exterior siding updates to four apartment buildings and eight duplex buildings. Also, elevators and associated lobbies would be added to three buildings’ ends adjacent to exit stairwells. Gretchen Stone of CB Two Architects LLC is the applicant and Adventist Health System/West is the project owner.
