GOVERNMENT

The Oregon Board of Forestry has appointed Cal Mukumoto as state forester. He is a forester and management consultant from Coos Bay. Mukumoto has a bachelor鈥檚 degree in forest management from Humboldt State University and a master鈥檚 degree in business administration from the University of Washington. His diverse leadership experiences span the public and private sectors and include work involving economic development, natural resource management and biomass energy development. Mukumoto has worked extensively with the Native American business community, serving on the boards of six tribal enterprises. He also previously served on the Oregon Parks and Recreation Commission and the Oregon Board of Forestry.
