Known for her community-building and operational leadership skills, Ericka Warren was asked to join the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project as a strategic advisor and facilitator of the Historic Albina Advisory Board (HAAB), providing equity consulting and raising concerns shared by HAAB members.

鈥淪he approaches her work with integrity and centers her work on bringing the community vision and, specifically, that of the historic Albina community, to fruition,鈥� said Megan Channel, ODOT Rose Quarter project director. 鈥淪he has been instrumental in helping ODOT do business differently, with a community-centered approach, and I am honored that she is part of our team.鈥�

Warren earned her undergraduate and Executive MBA degrees at the University of Oregon, and volunteers as president of the UO Black Alumni Network. Her MBA capstone project led to developing a strategy for the university鈥檚 new Black Cultural Center, which was created to provide Black students a welcoming and supportive space as they navigate social, cultural and academic experiences.

As a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Warren supports her community by volunteering and providing mentorship to young women, encouraging lifelong learning and caring for underserved communities.

For more than 15 years, she has coached students in Portland and Seattle, supporting them in education and athletics, leadership building and academic support. As a GED instructor for pregnant teen moms, she has created opportunities for them to travel outside Portland and enjoy new experiences, further supporting women inside and outside the classroom by offering mentorship.
