Director of finance at Green Hammer

Maise Schreiber moved to the United States in 2001 from her native country of Brazil.

In 2004, she met her future husband, Jose, when they were both hired by National Roofing Co., a natural disaster response FEMA contractor. During disaster periods, she often worked 12-hour days seven days a week. In 2010, she and Jose moved to Portland and she joined Green Hammer in 2014 as of颅fice manager.

In 2019 she completed her Masters of Science in Finance through Portland State University. She now serves a dual role as 颅finance director and human resources director. Under Schreiber鈥檚 leadership, the Green Hammer Administration Team has doubled and it created a Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Committee to foster a culture rooted in trust and inclusivity.

Wearing both her accounting and HR hats, Schreiber helped Green Hammer鈥檚 staff, many of whom were not able to work from home, navigate federal guidelines around COVID. She was instrumental in obtaining a sizable PPP loan, which helped ensure the company did not have to lay off any employees.
