Senior account executive at MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions

Alison Hewa has been the top account executive multiple quarters during her four years with MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions, and said she appreciates the opportunity to work with her colleagues to create solutions in the Oregon market.

鈥淚 enjoy how excited engineers get when they talk about their buildings and I love the pride they take in making sure they run efficiently and smoothly. They really do care about how a building runs,鈥� she said. 鈥淚t is fun to hear about the history of the building and see the care these engineers take.鈥�

Hewa helped develop the company鈥檚 Customer Education Series, which trains and educates building owners, property managers and facility managers about mechanical systems. The trainings also dive into how modern solutions and phaseouts of old materials are impacting the industry and directly affect customers鈥� buildings.

Along with the Customer Education Series, Hewa has partnered with the company鈥檚 Energy Team and taken the lead in its Smart Buildings program, helping customers take their buildings to a higher level in asset planning and energy efficiency.

Always willing to learn more from other leaders throughout the company, she is also very willing to pass that knowledge on to her peers and customers and serves as a mentor for new account executives.

鈥淚t is important to become a mentor for newer account executives so they can get off on the right footing. We hire innovative people with experience and it really doesn鈥檛 take much to get them off the ground,鈥� Hewa said.
