Associate architect at Scott | Edwards Architecture

Hayley Purdy鈥檚 accomplishments at Scott | Edwards Architecture include starting the SEA Construction Administration (CA) Support Group, a committee that meets to discuss lessons learned and best practices. She helped to lead the development of an internal CA manual, along with a punch-list template and preconstruction meeting template.

Purdy鈥檚 interest in historic preservation led her to get certified in the specialty from the University of Southern California. She applied this knowledge in the renovation and construction of the Oregon City Public Library, which abuts a registered Carnegie Library, effectively helping to protect the important community structure.

Similarly, Purdy鈥檚 interest in access to housing led her to pursue a fellowship in South America to study affordable housing in Colombia, Chile and Brazil. Those experiences have helped to inform her opinions and desires to improve and build affordable housing in Portland.

Purdy鈥檚 professional expertise extends to acting as a panelist for the recent 91视频 Builder Breakfast series, where the discussion focused on innovative partnerships and methods to provide secure, affordable housing. She also serves as a thought leader on integrated housing and healthcare, and how this holistic approach can lead to positive outcomes for residents and the surrounding community.
