Associate principal at Hacker Architects

Throughout her 20-year career, Jennifer Dzienis has worked on nearly a dozen projects in Portland鈥檚 Central Eastside. Her focus on adaptive reuse, planning policy and innovative architectural design helped preserve the district鈥檚 character while supporting its community鈥檚 evolving needs.

鈥淛en has been the single most transformative hire I鈥檝e seen in my professional career. She was promoted to associate principal within her first 17 months at Hacker and has been an irreplaceable part of our team since her first day,鈥� said Lewis Williams, an associate at Hacker, adding she now leads the firm鈥檚 project management share group.

Dzienis鈥� involvement in numerous teams led her to identify areas of improvement across Hacker. She advocated for restructuring its Revit support, which resulted in a BIM manager hire and improved onboarding for new hires, and was instrumental in streamlining project startup procedures.

A volunteer for the Architects in Schools program, Dzienis has hosted local Pecha Kuchas and is frequently a guest juror for the University of Oregon and Portland State University architecture programs.
