Project: Freewell

Valuation: $44,000,000

Location: 2030 N.W. Raleigh St.

Applicant: SERA Architects

Project owner: Cairn Pacific LLC and Prometheus Real Estate

Contractor: R&H Construction

This new seven-story, mixed-use building is under construction in Portland鈥檚 Slabtown neighborhood. There will be 192 apartments, ground-floor retail space and underground parking. Also, a bridge for pedestrians will connect to a two-story amenity building. The project is a part of the Con-way master plan that was approved in 2012 and will take over Block 291 East 鈥� adjacent to a future city park.

Project: The Dylan

Valuation: $43,500,000

Location: 3883 S.W. Moody Ave.

Applicant: Faster Permits

Project owner: Alamo Manhattan Block 40 Owner LLC

Contractor: Andersen Construction

Fire safety and fire evacuation plans have been incorporated for this project: a five-story, mixed-use building in Portland鈥檚 South Waterfront District. There will be 232 housing units. The site sits across from Alamo Manhattan鈥檚 Block 41 and Block 42 along the Willamette River.

Project: Metropolitan Workforce Training Center

Project owner: Portland Community College

A two-story, approximately 49,000-square-foot office building is being constructed for Portland Community College in the Cully neighborhood. Mass-timber structural systems will be used for the building, which will hold classrooms, offices and a career center to serve low-income families with children.

This new six-story, mixed-use building will rise within the same block of the historic Troy Laundry Building in Portland鈥檚 Buckman neighborhood. Troy Laundry North will have 104 units, ground-floor retail space and an outdoor roof amenity. A below-grade parking level, previously planned, was removed from the scope of work.

A renovation of the existing building, constructed in 1912, is in the works. The project will rehabilitate the unreinforced masonry structure and produce 66 affordable housing units. There will be a rooftop outdoor space, a bike room, a laundry room, a community room, a large kitchen, an office, and clinic space.
