• Design review is pending for a project to construct a new six-plex at 2315 S.E. 12th Ave. The total floor area would be 5,578 square feet.
• Design review is pending for a project to add five buildings to a site along Northwest 29th Avenue (within the 97210 zip code). This is a request for modification to land use approval granted previously for eight buildings on the site. The request calls for the additional five buildings to have designs like those of the original eight. An additional request is for a modification to better meet zoning guidelines. The applicant also seeks to eliminate three existing conditions of approval and retain two previously approved modifications.
• An application for early assistance is pending to renovate a building to cover an open-air electric vehicle charging and display building. Most of the site, at 12001 S.E. Morrison St., is for inventory display of vehicles.
• Design review is pending to renovate the Artists Repertory Theatre building at 1515 S.W. Morrison St. The existing 18,000-square-foot structure sits above two levels of below-grade parking on a 100-foot-by-200-foot lot. The existing exterior walls and most of the existing roof structure would remain. The roof of the new main theater would be restructured to accommodate a taller theater. The existing covered driveway along Morrison Street would be infilled with a new entry and lobby space. After the renovation the total area would be roughly 19,110 square feet, plus below-grade parking.
• A pre-application conference is pending for a 23-story, 337-unit building, at 514 N.W. Ninth Ave. The proposal calls for approximately 3,300 square feet of retail space and three stories of underground parking for 192 vehicles. The development would involve demolishing half of the historic Bindery Building as well as another building on the east side of the block.
