CONSTRUCTION

Korede Alabi, chief financial officer and executive vice president of General Sheet Metal, has been named chairman of Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest鈥檚 Board of Directors. He will lead the 23-member board for two years. BBBS Columbia Northwest, founded in 2002, is one of the Portland-metro region鈥檚 largest youth mentoring organizations. This past year, its mentees鈥� high school graduation rate was 95 percent 鈥� far above the region鈥檚 overall graduation rate of 80.6 percent. Before joining General Sheet Metal in 2017, Alabi held positions with Vestas, General Electric and American Airlines.
