Brett Karnes has joined David Evans and Associates as a senior bridge engineer in its Salem office. He has more than 15 years of bridge design experience.聽Karnes has been involved in numerous technically challenging and unique projects, including bridge rehabilitations, emergency repairs, seismic retrofits, complex ratings, and new designs.聽He is particularly skilled in steel design, finite element analysis and modeling, and seismic design. Karnes was directly engaged in developing Oregon-specific seismic criteria and design practices.
