  • A Type 2 (adjustment) procedure is pending for a remodel of a building at 5949 N.E. 30th Ave. The building, which previously housed Concordia University offices, would become a day care facility. An adjustment is being sought to remove on-site parking requirements. Robin Scholetzky of UrbanLens Planning is the applicant, and Weldone 5949 LLC is the project owner.
  • Early assistance is sought for a proposal to construct a nine-story mixed-use building with 159 units over ground-floor retail space at 888 S.E. Alder St. Bob Thompson of TVA Architects is the applicant, and Alder 8 Apartments LLC of Vancouver, Washington, is the project owner.
  • Design review with modifications is pending for a multifamily high-rise on the former Riverplace Athletic Club site, at 150 S. Montgomery St. The applicants are seeking modifications to the building height, maximum north-south dimension, ground-floor windows, and eco-roof coverage. Agustin Enriquez and Daniel Bradbury of GBD Architects are the applicants, and NBP 0150 S Montgomery LLC is the project owner.
  • A pre-application conference is being sought for early work on the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project along North Kerby Avenue (within the 97227 zip code). The proposal calls for widening the northbound lane south of Harriet Tubman Middle School and modifications to the I-5 and I-405 interchange area. All early work includes: widening at the Greeley Avenue exit ramp, I-405 exit ramp widening along the east side and I-5 widening at the gore (road) of the I-405 exit ramp, constructing walls 1 and 2A, constructing a portion of noise wall 24 along Lillis Albina Park, constructing two stormwater treatment facilities, installing two sign bridges and one cantilever sign structure on I-5, and modifying North Russell Street to accommodate widening I-5’s mainline structure. Monica Blanchard of the Oregon Department of Transportation is the applicant, and the state of Oregon is the project owner.
  • Early assistance is sought for a three-to-four-story multifamily cohousing project, at 8522 N. Edison St. Kim Olson of Mahlum Architects is the applicant and Platypus Land LLC is the project owner.
  • Design advice is pending for a project to construct a 30-story multifamily building with possibly 329 units at 150 S. Montgomery St. Parking would be provided via unused spaces in the adjacent Douglas Apartments garage, which holds 385 stalls. All existing housing units in the Douglas Apartments portion of the site would be preserved. Agustin Enriquez and Daniel Bradbury of GBD Architects are the applicants, and NBP 0150 S Montgomery LLC is the project owner.
  • Early assistance is sought for a 61-unit permanent supportive housing development at 1131 S.E. Oak St. The applicant is Kristina Hauri of Holst Architecture and the project owner is St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
  • Design advice is pending for a project to construct a 260-unit multifamily building at 701 N.E. Seventh Ave. Steve Master of Master Development LLC is the applicant and project owner.
  • Early assistance is pending for a proposal to construct a 20,000-square-foot addition to an industrial building at 5445 N.E. 122nd Ave. The addition to the facility’s north side would include two new loading-dock doors and one grade-level overhead door. Havlin Kemp and Amy Tallent of VLMK Engineering + Design are the applicants, and Stuart LLC is the project owner.
  • Early assistance is pending for a tenant improvement to accommodate cannabis processing within an existing warehouse building at 4525 S.E. 65th Ave. Sarah Lavoie of Lavoie Design Shop is the applicant and EMJ Properties LLC is the project owner.
