  • Early assistance is sought for a proposal to construct a three-story multifamily building at 3306 S.E. 90th Place. The building would be approximately 11,280 gross square feet and hold 21 units. While parking is not required per code, plans call for 11 spaces. A separate structure is proposed for bicycle parking and trash storage. Jim Toporek of Studio 3 Architecture is the applicant and AV Capital is the project owner.
  • A Type 2 procedure (river review) is pending for replacement of a decaying steel lattice structure along the electric transmission line within the Springwater Corridor. A new steel monopole would replace the structure. The project would require removal of four trees. Andy Clodfelter of AECOM is the applicant and Metro is the project owner.
  • A Type 2 procedure (environmental review) is pending to repave 0.85 of a mile of soft surface on the Columbia Slough Trail along Northwest Airport Way (within the 97230 zip code) in the Big Four Corners natural area. The paving would take place between a pump station near Northeast Airport Way, and Northeast 185th Drive. Travis Ruybal of Portland Parks & Recreation is the applicant and the city of Portland is the project owner.
  • Design advice is pending for a proposal to build a 23-story apartment tower at 514 N.W. Ninth Ave., on the eastern half of the block. The high-rise would hold approximately 300 units (including affordable housing units), three levels of below-grade parking, ground-floor retail space, and tenant amenity spaces on levels two and 23. The existing Metro building would be demolished. Bob Thompson of TVA Architects is the applicant and FH Honeyman Lofts is the project owner.
  • A pre-application conference is pending for 1311 S.W. Gibbs St. Alterations are sought to a previously approved land use review. The proposal calls for increasing the number of apartments from 27 to 43 by converting some of the two- and three-bedroom units into studios and one-bedroom units. All alterations would be inside the building and not reflected on the exterior façade or building footprint. Sean O’Neill of SWS PDX is the applicant and project owner.
