Prosper Portland has launched the Portland Small Business Hub 鈥� a new program to serve local owners of small businesses.

The free resource, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act, is intended to help local small businesses recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing economic recession. This collaboration between Prosper Portland and local service providers can provide culturally specific technical assistance and resource navigation. Business owners will be connected to financial relief programs via referrals to one-on-one assistance with applications for loans, grants and other financial opportunities.

This resource is intended to serve business owners who are residents of the city of Portland or whose businesses are in the city of Portland. Priority businesses include those owned by people of color, women, and non-English/limited English speakers or in industries impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

鈥淲e have listened to our small businesses and community partners, who have expressed a huge need for centralized information and navigation to access relief resources in a timely manner,鈥� Kimberly Branam, Prosper Portland鈥檚 executive director, stated in a press release. 鈥淭he Portland Small Business Hub is built to address that need.鈥�
