The city of Wilsonville has awarded Sundt Construction and its joint venture partner, Tapani, the $27 million progressive design-build Boeckman Road Corridor Improvements project. The design team is led by KPFF.

The project will include street, sewer and intersection improvements as well as construction of a new bridge over Boeckman Creek.聽This will upgrade the existing roadway, increase driver visibility and improve passage for fish via removal of the existing culvert. The project requires construction of a half mile of a new sanitary sewer trunk line within Boeckman Road. The team also will upgrade the Canyon Creek-Boeckman Road intersection to improve safety and mitigate traffic congestion.

鈥淥ur team is looking forward to working with Tapani and KPFF on this project,鈥 Ken Kubacki, Northwest area manager for Sundt鈥檚 Transportation Group, stated in a news release. 鈥淭his project will improve the surrounding community, environment and general safety of the area.鈥

In 2016, Sundt, in a joint venture with Slayden Construction, completed the award-winning Sellwood Bridge replacement project in Portland. Sundt also recently was awarded the Interstate-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project in Northeast Portland. The firm currently is building the Willamette Water Supply Program’s water treatment plant in Southwest Portland. The 132-year-old firm has offices in Oregon, Arizona, California, North Carolina, Texas and Utah.

Tapani, established in 1983, performs heavy civil, site construction and structural concrete services throughout the Pacific Northwest.
