DESIGN

Mackenzie has promoted Jan Mason to director of communications and equitable development. In this role, she will expand her ongoing work with economic development practitioners, government staff and officials, and commercial developers in strategizing, planning and promoting economic well-being and a higher quality of life, particularly in communities historically marginalized in the development process. Mason has contributed to the Oregon state Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Action Plan; local, regional, and statewide economic development strategies; and the equity framework for a recent Build Back Better grant application.
