  • Early assistance is being sought for a new affordable housing development along Southwest Vermont Street (97219-area code) in Portland. The proposal calls for a more than 50-unit multifamily community. Leigh Armstrong of Habitat for Humanity Portland is the applicant and Habitat for Humanity for Portland and Metro are the project owners.
  • Type 3 procedure (Historic Resource Review) is pending for 1819 N.W. Everett St., Portland. The proposal calls for an adaptive reuse of the historic landmark building on the site and for the new construction of a hotel adjacent to it. The hotel would be five stories with a rooftop penthouse and be about 46,260 square feet. The adaptive reuse of the historic landmark building calls for new event spaces, a food and beverage area, a wellness area, a spa, social amenities and back-of-house uses. Andrew Becker of Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture is the applicant and Northwest Neighborhood Cultural Center is the project owner.
  • Early assistance is being sought for 10120 N.E. Sandy Blvd., Portland. The proposal calls for the potential redevelopment of the former Bank of America site. The applicant is seeking information regarding allowed changes to the site. Mike Towle of Dowl is the applicant and Elk 789 LLC is the project owner.
  • Early assistance is being sought for 2631 N.W. Upshur St., Portland. Plans call for a two, five-story multifamily buildings over one level of shared below-grade parking. In total, the development would be 271,000 square feet and have 256 units. It would include residential amenities and inclusionary housing. Keri Woltz of Hacker Architects is the applicant. Mississippi Development and Upshur Acquisition are the project owners.
  • Early assistance is being sought for 3801 N. Interstate Ave., Portland. The proposal calls for a seven-story apartment building with 155 units with amenity spaces and parking. The structure would be a 鈥5-over-2鈥 structure with concrete and Type III wood framing. Brad Bane of Ankrom Moisan Architects is the applicant and Green Lotus Investments LLC is the project owner.
  • A Type 2 procedure (adjustment) is pending for 11000 N.E. Siskiyou St., Unit B, Portland. Plans call for a two-story, 795-sqaure-foot accessory dwelling unit to be added. Tien Huynh of Rose City Home Design is the applicant. The project owners are Minh and Nhat Truong.
  • Design advice is pending for 539 S.W. Broadway, Portland. Plans call for an upgrade to the ground floor tenant spaces that would include a redesign and replacement of cladding, storefront glazing, signs, and awnings. Jon McGrew and Jason Smith of Hennebery Eddy Architects are the applicants and MMI Alderway Owner LLC is the project owner.
  • Early assistance is pending to convert a 320-square-foot open-air pavilion within the Tryon Creek State Natural Area along Southwest Terwilliger Boulevard into an enclosed structure. Jennifer Rinkus of Baysinger Partners Architecture is the applicant and Oregon State of Parks and Recreation is the project owner.
  • Early assistance is being sought for 9900 S.E. Washington St., Portland. The proposal calls for a partition of an existing commercial shopping center. The property would be split into two parcels to separate the gas station from the main lot. Mischa Van Buuren of KPFF Consulting Engineers is the applicant and Rhino Holdings Marketplace 205 LLC of Henderson, Nevada.
