Maryland Ave. The proposal calls for construction of a five-story, 64,043-square-foot multifamily building with inclusionary units, and commercial space and community space on the ground floor. Josef West of West Architects is the applicant and Jovice Holdings LLC is the project owner.
  • Design review (type 2 procedure) is pending for Cathedral School, at 110 N.E. 17th Ave. Plans call for removal of the existing PVC single-ply roof assembly on the building’s west wing and installation of a new protected membrane roof assembly. Thomas Bertrand of Professional Roof Consultants is the applicant and St. Mary Catholic Cathedral of Immaculate Conception of Portland, Oregon is the project owner.
  • Early assistance is being sought for 5942 N. Maryland Ave. The proposal calls for construction of a five-story affordable housing development with approximately 100 studio apartments. The building would have common space, outdoor space, and bike parking. Todd Spangler of Hacker is the applicant, and Tripp Family Investments LLC and Sarah McMinn are the project owners.
  • Early assistance is pending for property along Southeast Tacoma Street (within the 97202 zip code). The proposal calls for construction of a four-story, 112-unit apartment building with a roof deck and on-site parking for bicycles and motor vehicles. Steve Fosler of Fosler Architecture is the applicant and Sellwood Tacoma LLC is the project owner.
