GOVERNMENT

The West Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District鈥檚 board of directors has selected Lynn Barlow as its new district manager. She follows Jim Cathcart, who died in May 2022. Barlow has more than 24 years of experience in the conservation field, including 19 years acquiring, managing and restoring public natural areas for the city of Portland. Most recently she spent nearly four years with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, where she managed a federal loan program that funds water quality improvement projects throughout Oregon. Barlow began her conservation career as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer.
