ARCHITECTURE

The Architecture Foundation of Oregon has named Jonathan Bolch a 2023 Van Evera Bailey Fellow. Bolch, a licensed architect, is a design principal at Woofter Bolch Architecture and an adjunct faculty member at Portland State University鈥檚 School of Architecture. Building on interest and expertise in small-scale affordable infill housing, he is researching and documenting a vision for creating housing along the 76 miles of alleyways found throughout the city of Portland. The fellowship will support Bolch as he researches options and creates visions to increase density while looking at existing examples in Kyoto, Japan, and London as precedents.
