ARCHITECTURE

Gauri Rajbaidya, a principal at SERA Architects, has been named to Oregon鈥檚 Housing Production Advisory Council. The 25-member group will be charged with developing an action plan to meet a new goal for home construction throughout the state. Rajbaidya has managed the design development of several major affordable housing projects. As a first-generation immigrant from Nepal, his affordable housing design work is inspired by an understanding of the rootlessness that is at the heart of the immigrant experience. He seeks to create connections with immigrants, refugees, and communities of color through advocacy and building affordable, culturally specific housing.
