GOVERNMENT

Jes Larson has been appointed assistant director of Washington County Department of Housing Services (homeless programs). She previously spent the past two years serving as the supportive housing services program manager. Larson has been working the past 20 years to make the experience of homelessness in the Portland-metro area rare and brief. She has led the growth of the supportive housing services division from a staff of four to a team of 24, and the expansion of programs from an annual budget of $5 million to nearly $85 million.
