OMIC’s research and development team adds LaMont

RESEARCH

Trent LaMont has joined the Oregon Manufacturing Innovation Center鈥檚 research and development (R&D) team. OMIC R&D combines the efforts of industry and academic partners to develop advanced metals manufacturing technologies and processes. LaMont, a Scappoose native, recently attained a degree in mechanical engineering from Oregon Institute of Technology. While there, he was selected for the DeArmond Manufacturing Fellows Scholarship program, which allowed him to work at OMIC R&D through a summer internship. He spent the next three summers working alongside OMIC R&D researchers, gaining applicable knowledge in the world of advanced manufacturing.
