Lewis now vice president of TriMet board

The TriMet board of directors has elected LaVerne Lewis as vice president. She is TriMet鈥檚 second African American vice president and the first Black woman to serve in the role. Lewis joined the TriMet Board of Directors in 2021 and represents District 6, which covers east Multnomah County. She has extensive experience in business, civil rights, criminal justice and education. She will serve through June 2025.
