Menashe Properties has acquired the 183,735-square-foot American Bank Building in downtown Portland. The $13.6 million purchase closed on Thursday.
The 110-year-old building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s located in the heart of Portland, at 621 S.W. Morrison St., across from Pioneer Courthouse Square.
The seller, identified in Multnomah County property records as LVA4 Portland ABB LLC of Houston, Texas, was represented by Charles Safley of CBRE’s Pacific Northwest Capital Markets team.
Menashe Properties has been investing in Portland for over 45 years, the firm stated in a press release. With this purchase, the family-owned firm now owns and manages over 800,000 square feet of commercial real estate in Portland’s downtown core, including 12th & Morrison, the 511 Building, 610 Broadway, the Electric Building and Unitus Plaza.
The American Bank Building’s tenants include CVS, Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley and Greenleaf Juice Co. Since receiving a modernization in recent years, the building has received both Fitwel and Energy Star certifications. Space is available to lease. To learn more, visit .
