General Sheet Metal’s Duncan elected SMACNA president

CONSTRUCTION
Carol Duncan, CEO and owner of General Sheet Metal, has been elected president of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA). She will focus on advancing the BE4ALL initiative, a joint effort of SMACNA, the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers (SMART), and the International Training Institute (ITI) to positively impact the industry’s work culture and meet the demand for the best and most qualified workers available. Duncan began her career in the sheet metal industry in 1982 at Clackamas-based General Sheet Metal. She became CEO in 2000.
