Building permits issued for Dec. 26, 2023-Jan. 1, 2024

• A $600,000 addition permit was issued for 7000 N.E. Airport Way. Work will involve installation of interior glazing – wall glass and glass doors. Mikaela Christman of Faster Permits is the applicant, the Port of Portland is the project owner, and Hoffman Skanska LLC is the contractor.
• A $1,197,284 alteration permit was issued for 3561 S.E. Division St. A tenant improvement for a new tenant will involve reconfiguration of the main floor plan to remove interior partitions, relocation of restrooms, additions of trash and long-term bicycle parking rooms, reconfiguration of the upper floor plan to relocate unit kitchens, reconfiguration of the hallway, rearrangement of closet spaces, and creation of roof openings skylights and HVAC equipment. Also, site work is planned. Brendon Farrell of Brendon Farrell Architect is the applicant, Corner Pocket LLC is the project owner, and Green Gables Design & Restoration is the contractor.
• A $641,760 addition permit was issued for 6410 N.E. 27th Ave. A tenant improvement for a new tenant will involve additions of two vestibules (one at the building’s east entry and one at its west entry) and a voluntary seismic upgrade of the one-story, unreinforced masonry structure. Dan Williams of Faster Permits is the applicant, the University of Oregon is the project owner, and Steve Paschal (Balfour Beatty Construction LLC) is the contractor.
• A $4,500,000 alteration permit was issued for the Pittock Block, at 921 S.W. Washington St. A renovation of tenant and common areas on the ground floor, mezzanine level, fourth floor, and eighth floor will include construction of new entry vestibules, equipment and support rooms as well as modifications to ground-floor facades.

Building permit intakes for Dec. 26, 2023-Jan. 1, 2024

• A $700,000 alteration permit is under review for 1601 N. Columbia Blvd. A renovation of the one-story warehouse would include removal of interior office space and new construction. The site’s asphalt surface would be replaced a new stormwater facility would be built. Also, a detached trash enclosure would be added. Josef West of West Architects is the applicant, Lawrence B. Stone Properties of Spokane, Washington, is the project owner, and Jarrod Fogle (Walen Construction) is the contractor.

• A $1,502,302 alteration permit is under inspection for 25 S.W. Salmon St. Plans for the World Trade Center Portland call for construction of new walls to create a yoga room, a fitness room, restrooms and showers, a locker room, a sauna, bicycle storage, and changing rooms. Work would also involve ceiling, flooring, finishes, plumbing, and electrical. Caitlin Hutton of LRS Architects is the applicant, 121 SW Salmon St Corp. is the project owner, and Steve Paschal (Balfour Beatty Construction LLC) is the contractor.

Facility permit intakes for Dec. 26, 2023-Jan. 1, 2024

• A $1,186,000 alteration permit is under review for 1211 S.W. Fifth Ave. A tenant improvement for Merrill Lynch on the 24th floor (suite 2400) would involve demolition of walls and construction of new ones to create offices, copy areas, open office areas, hallways, a mail/cashier room, a pantry room, a copy room, a storage room, a wellness room, and a conference room. Also, the existing offices, reception area, conference room and elevator lobby would be remodeled. Work would also involve ceiling, flooring, finishes, plumbing and electrical. Dan Kretchmer of Gensler is the applicant, TR Pacwest LLC of Chicago is the project owner, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
