GreenWay Recycling, a mixed construction, demolition sorting, and processing company that operates in Northwest Portland, has been named C&D Recycler of the Year by the Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA). The firm will receive the national award during CDRA鈥檚 annual conference, 2024 C&D World, which will take place Jan. 31 through Feb. 2 in Bonita Springs, Florida.

GreenWay Recycling has been recovering construction and demolition materials in Portland for 20 years, and recently invested $7 million to rebuild its dry-waste facility into a state-of-the-art operation. Metro provided a $750,000 grant to help advance the project.

The GreenWay facility, certified by the Recycling Certification Institute, has the highest recycling rates in the region, allowing local projects to obtain Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design platinum and gold ratings, CDRA stated in a press release.
