The city of Portland has launched an for property owners and tenants to report building damage inflicted by recent snow and ice storms.

The Portland Bureau of Emergency Management will use the information collected to help provide a complete picture of the damage incurred in the city. The information also supports efforts to obtain state and federal disaster recovery assistance.

Sharing information with the city through this online tool does not guarantee financial assistance from local, state or federal disaster relief organizations to help repair properties, the city stated in a press release.

This tool complements the work of Bureau of Development Services inspectors who are conducting assessments of property damage across the city. Inspectors are prioritizing the most impacted areas and structures in each neighborhood. BDS inspectors will inform property owners of possible structural concerns and provide information to help them repair damage through written notices.
