Portland, Ore. 鈥� MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions has opened a new office in West Portland, strategically positioned to serve the 217 and Sunset Highway corridors, downtown Portland, and surrounding cities. This expansion aims to enhance service efficiency and support the growing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and design-build needs in these rapidly developing areas.

鈥淥ur new office aligns with our hub and spoke model, enabling our company to efficiently cover a larger geographic area while focusing our staff鈥檚 efforts in helping customers locally. This approach optimizes our company鈥檚 service capabilities and enhances customer satisfaction,鈥� said Portland General Manager Jon Hay.

In addition to the 217 and Sunset Highway corridors, the West Portland hub will serve Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard, Tualatin, Lake Oswego, Wilsonville, Portland鈥檚 west hills, and other surrounding communities.

The new office, located at 14275 NW Science Park Drive, complements the main Portland office at 1211 NE Airport Way. The West Portland office will be managed by West Portland Service Area Operations Manager Matt White, ensuring consistent leadership and service quality.

This opening marks the third MacDonald-Miller office in Oregon, following the recent relocation of the Eugene office to Salem at 200 Hawthorne Ave. SE, Salem. MacDonald-Miller employs 300 people in Oregon and another 1,000 in Washington state. The company is currently updating the mechanical systems in the historic Pittock Block building and recently completed the new Ritz Carlton in downtown Portland, the fourth-tallest building in the city with 35 floors.

MacDonald-Miller provides energy-efficient building systems through mechanical design, equipment repair, HVAC maintenance, energy benchmarking, and building controls automation for both new and existing buildings. The Pacific Northwest-based company focuses on:

1. Helping building owners and property managers comply with evolving energy codes and the Washington Clean Buildings requirements through energy benchmarking and investment-grade audits to achieve energy use intensity targets.

2. Implementing Smart Building Services, allowing facility managers and building engineers to remotely monitor and adjust their mechanical systems, thereby saving time and money.

3. Construction Services, including the design, fabrication, and installation of sheet metal, plumbing, and fitting for commercial projects of all sizes.
