A new online permitting portal is now available for people handling building projects in unincorporated Washington County.

The Department of Land Use and Transportation Building Services鈥� system will allow applicants to manage projects from start to finish. Building and Development Application Services (BDAS) works with the department鈥檚 ProjectDox webtool to streamline submittal, review and approval of building applications and plans.

鈥淭his marks the first phase of our online permit submission software rollout,鈥� Washington County Building Official Derrick Moon stated in a news release. 鈥淥ur goal is to increase online access by continuing to take advantage of the BDAS technology.鈥�

The new system allows users to submit some building applications, submit project-related plans and documents, and pay fees. Applications apply to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, prescriptive solar and NFPA 13 Sprinkler Affidavit permits, which do not聽require a plan review. For all other permits, completed applications should be directed to [email protected].
