• A pre-application conference is pending for discussion of a project at 2705 N.W. Nicolai St. The proposal is to create a new facility for accepting, processing and disposing of waste – including human remains, pet remains and medical waste – as well as vehicles. Operations would include dismantlement of automobiles and recreational vehicles, storage of human remains and pet remains for future cremation, sterilization and recycling of medical waste, portable toilet and sewage disposal services for pump trucks only, and disposal of waste tires. The facility would not be open to the public. Lance Hamel of Rapid Response Bio-Clean is the applicant and Las Hamel Investments LLC of Oregon City is the project owner.
• A type 1x procedure (land division review) is pending for 2914 S.E. 52nd Ave. A two-parcel partition is sought. Parcel 1 would hold the existing building and parcel 2 would be to the south. Food carts currently occupy parcel 2; they would be removed to accommodate construction of an attached fourplex. Stormwater treatment on parcel 2 would be via rain gutters draining into a dry well. Michael Manwell of Michael Manwell Land Surveying LLC of Gresham is the applicant and Eastside Village LLC of Happy Valley is the project owner.
• Early assistance is pending for a project at 3600 N. Interstate Ave. Kaiser Permanente proposes to construct an approximately 4,000-square-foot addition to support its radiation therapy clinic. The facility will continue to be accessed through the existing main entry and reception/check-in area. A stand-alone, rooftop HVAC system with screening would be added. Parking would be reduced by five spaces, landscaping would be modified, and existing accessible and reserved parking would be reallocated. Brad Kilby of Harper Houf Peterson Righellis is the applicant and Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest is the project owner.
