Mino, a civil engineer, has been with the firm for eight years, and nearly 25 years overall in the industry.

Greg has completed a wide range of engineering project assignments while at Mackenzie, from civic centers to industrial parks to roadway roundabouts. He鈥檚 known for his excellent client service, technical acumen, and calm, decisive presence in high-pressure situations. He brings a passion for excellence in process guidance and was recently named a technical director at the firm. In this role, he focuses on the collaborative intersection between design disciplines and optimizing interaction and collective problem-solving capabilities.

Greg has excelled as a mentor to civil designers and engineers in various stages of their careers. He is also taking a role with the firm鈥檚 Design Leadership Team, which provides corporate guidance on the firm鈥檚 design delivery performance.

Education: University of Southern California (bachelor鈥檚)

If you had not chosen your current profession, what profession would you choose and why? It would be something to do with animal welfare. I find their innocent and simple nature a meaningful reminder that happiness doesn鈥檛 need to be as complicated as we too often make it.

What was a recent (or favorite) vacation you took? Spending a couple of weeks in Japan with my family last year was fun and rewarding in so many ways. Really priceless memories.

What do you do when you want to relax? I鈥檓 still trying to figure that out, and I should probably be doing more of whatever that is.

Favorite book (or movie, band or pop culture item, etc.): 鈥�Top Gun.鈥� I watched it so many times when I was a kid that I could recite the entire cast, meaning I had even watched the credits enough to memorize them.

Favorite quotation: If you鈥檙e trying to find your way out of a dark room but you keep hitting a wall, your chances of finding the door are better if you try a different direction.
