Morgan, an interior designer and award-winning leader of the firm鈥檚 interiors discipline, has been with the firm for over 20 years. She is a passionate resource for the firm鈥檚 clients, and her work has been a cornerstone of Mackenzie鈥檚 efforts in interior design.

Morgan brings a collaborative spirit, an unrelenting work ethic, and high expectations to her projects, many of which have been acknowledged for their design excellence. She serves as the primary contact for many of Mackenzie鈥檚 largest portfolio management accounts.

She is committed to making Mackenzie the best place to work in the industry, and she鈥檚 a champion of the firm鈥檚 culture and staff wellness. Outside the workplace, Morgan is a member of Oregon State University鈥檚 Interior Design Advisory Council, helping to shape the next generation of design professionals.

If you had not chosen your current profession, what profession would you choose and why? I would be in the business of flipping houses! My husband and I have fully remodeled our first two homes and have an itch to do more. We truly love seeing the beauty in older homes and giving them new life 鈥� it鈥檚 challenging and creative in a different way from the projects I work on in my career. I鈥檓 constantly looking at real estate and with every home I see, I start to envision what we would do to refresh it while maintaining the integrity of what it already has to offer.

What was a recent (or favorite) vacation you took? We recently did a 10-day trip to Spain. We have some great friends who had some really good wine from the Rioja region in Spain. So, we all got a wild hair to go there together and drink it while in the Rioja region. I love all the history you take in from just walking through the smaller villages. It was also pretty great to try a whole new variety of wines that differ so much from what we have here in the Willamette Valley. Many memories were made.

What do you do when you want to relax? My family and I love fresh air and getting outside. We are lucky enough to essentially have a system of parks as our backyard. So going for walks is such a great way to reconnect with everything around us (and has led to a recent obsession of mine 鈥� bird watching!). Then finishing that with a great movie by the fire is perfect.

Favorite book (or movie, band or pop culture item, etc.): We love a good concert and great live music in general! There are too many great ones to choose from, but Foo Fighters put on an awesome show and are definitely one of the top three bands of all time for me.
