Building permits issued for Feb. 10-16, 2025

• A $9,144,907 new construction permit was issued for 3675 N. Interstate Ave. A six-story, 63-unit affordable housing building (M. Carter Commons) will be constructed. Dariia Vernygora of Salazar Architect is the applicant, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest is the project owner, and O’Neill/Walsh Community Builders is the contractor.
• A $10,500,000 new construction permit was issued for 4852 N.E. Marine Drive. Three new jet fuel storage tanks will be constructed at Portland International Airport. Neither the applicant nor the project owner is listed. Burns & McDonnell of Kansas City, Missouri, is the contractor.

Building permit intakes for Feb. 10-16, 2025

• A $1,900,000 alteration permit is under review for 15840 S.E. Taylor St. A voluntary seismic upgrade is planned for Oliver Middle School. The work would involve the central classroom wing, the media center, the front office, and the cafeteria. Kristofer Tonning of ZCS Engineering of Oregon City is the applicant and Centennial School District is the project owner. The contractor is not listed.
• A $1,600,000 alteration permit is under review for 342 S.E. Caruthers St. Plans call for renovating the warehouse building. Interior partitions and doors would be removed and added.
