Building permits issued for Feb. 17-23, 2025

  • A $500,000 alteration permit was issued for 9821 S.E. Foster Road. Repairs are planned for a building damaged by fire. The work will involve trusses, roof sheathing, roofing, new corrugated metal siding, doors, and interior gypsum. Edward Crabaugh of ECEC is the applicant, Michael Hillard is the project owner, and Mt Hood Restoration and Construction of Sherwood is the contractor.
  • A $600,000 addition permit was issued for 1219 S.W. Park Ave. The work will involve installation of metal cladding at the Portland Art Museum’s Jefferson Street loading dock. Neither the applicant nor the project owner is listed. Nate Gundrum (Mortenson) is the contractor.
  • A $1,596,374 new construction permit was issued for 3750 S.E. 91st Place. The work will involve construction of a three-story, 19-unit apartment building. There will be detached bike storage and associated site work. Neither the applicant nor the project owner is listed. Artur Nichiporchik (Contemporary Homes LLC) is the contractor.

Building permit intakes for Feb. 17-23, 2025

  • A $900,000 alteration permit is under review for 550 S.W. 12th Ave. Plans call for a tenant improvement on levels 2 and 3 to suit an existing tenant. The work would include removing interior walls and finishes and then constructing new walls and finishes to create open offices, conference rooms, a reception area, a café, and a dining area. The existing restrooms and shower will not be modified. Taylor Pasic of GBD Architects is the applicant, West Alder LLC is the project owner, and Shelton Davis (Lease Crutcher Lewis) is the contractor.
  • A $2,800,000 alteration permit is under review for 3131 S.E. 50th Ave. Plans call for transforming a live/work building into a day care facility with classrooms, offices, and support spaces. Associated site work will involve a detached trash enclosure. Brannon Lobdell of Brannon Ritner Lobdell Architecture LLC is the applicant, Albina Head Start is the project owner, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
  • A $1,844,389 new construction permit is under review for 12005 N. Lombard St. Construction of a new building for torch cutting would involve a foundation, grading, a movable and motorized platform, and a baghouse structure connected by ducting. Micah Mensing of SMG Engineers of Beaverton is the applicant, Schnitzer Steel Industries of Carlsbad, California, is the project owner, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
