Building permits issued for Feb. 24-March 2, 2025

  • A $1,145,103 alteration permit was issued for 232 N.W. Sixth Ave. Plans call for installation of mini-splits for all units and associated drywall soffit. Existing windows throughout the building will be repaired. Hali Knight of Peter Meijer Architect PC is the applicant, Central City Concern is the project owner, and Matt Godt (Walsh Construction) is the contractor.
  • A $5,598,991 new construction permit was issued for 4680 S.E. Clinton St. Plans call for construction of a three-story, 25-unit affordable housing building with a laundry room and a bike room. There will be associated site work. This will be Peaceful Villa’s east building. Neither the applicant nor the project owner is listed. LMC Construction is the contractor.
  • A $5,358,669 new construction permit was issued for 4660 S.E. Clinton St. Plans call for construction of a three-story, 24-unit affordable housing building with a trash room and a bike room. There will be associated site work. This will be Peaceful Villa’s west building. Neither the applicant nor the project owner is listed. LMC Construction is the contractor.
  • A $40,825,474 new construction permit was issued for 2840 S.E. 46th Ave. Plans call for construction of a four-story, 117-unit affordable housing building with a community room, a children’s play area, entry lounges, a teen room, office suites, laundry rooms, outdoor courtyard spaces, and surface parking. There will be associated site work. This will be Peaceful Villa’s south building. Neither the applicant nor the project owner is listed. LMC Construction is the contractor.

  • A $4,000,000 new construction permit is under review for 800 S.W. Harvey Milk St. Plans call for development of a public plaza with an overhead fabric canopy, planters, trees, a dog run, and a storage container. New perimeter fencing with gates would remain open during park hours. Jason Hirst of NNA Landscape Architecture is the applicant, the city of Portland is the project owner, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
  • A $3,442,152 addition permit is under review for 14465 S.E. Stark St. The existing building would be renovated and gain a third floor to create office spaces. Interior work would include removing stairs, walls, doors, windows and the roof and then constructing the new floor, stairs, walls, doors and windows. A new elevator and accessible restrooms would be added as well. Site work would include re-striping parking spaces, creating accessible parking spaces, installing bike rack stalls, and removing the curb cut and infill to match the sidewalk and landscape buffers.
