Plans call for removing the frameless, glass, double-entry door system and replacing it with a single door and sidelight aluminum-frame storefront so the tenant can have a walk-up service window on one side. No alterations are proposed to any of the historical architectural details or the building facade.

The proposal is to build a parking lot on a vacant grass field. An existing building on the site would remain. Existing driveways would be closed; access from the street to the building would be created. Three adjustments requested involve maximum parking, vehicle area frontage limitation, and location of vehicle area.

Plans call for renovating both the building’s interior and exterior. The proposed facade renovation includes removing the curved entry cylinder and canopies, installing a new metal panel systems facade, increasing show glazing, installing a new canopy with louvers, and upgrading finishes, signage and lighting. Site improvements would involve replacing the internally illuminated pylon sign, renovating the concrete plaza in front of the showroom, and adding planters. No change to the stormwater disposal method is proposed.
