Plans call for renovating a seven-story, 65-unit, low-income apartment building and performing mechanical upgrades. The proposed work would be limited to replacement or repair of the sidewalk along Southwest Park Avenue, installation of a new roof and rooftop mechanical systems, installation of a new rooftop photovoltaic solar system, and replacement of light well windows.

The city’s Third Drive and Argyle & 19th pump stations require upgrades to improve performance, reliability and safety as well as meet the Bureau of Environmental Services’ pump station design guidelines. Initial above-grade improvements proposed at Argyle & 19th include construction of a new electrical and controls building, installation of stand-alone electrical panels, installation of an emergency generator, replacement of the backflow preventer with an above-ground backflow preventer, and installation of a new fence with a sliding vehicle access gate. Proposed below-grade improvements include conversion of an existing dry well to a wet well, installation of an underground valve and meter vault and pig port, extension of the influent sewer, and connection of the pump station to the force main in the Argyle Street right-of-way. Initial above-grade improvements at Third Drive include upgrades to the electrical and controls building, installation of an emergency generator, regrade and modification of the retaining wall, replacement of the backflow preventer with an above-ground backflow preventer, and installation of a new fence with a sliding vehicle access gate. Proposed below-grade improvements include conversion of an existing underground dry well to a wet well, installation of an underground valve and meter vault, and extension of the influent sewer.

The city’s Portland Road pump station requires upgrades to improve performance, reliability and safety as well as meet the Bureau of Environmental Services’ pump station design guidelines. BES proposes several improvements on the site, including conversion of the wet well/​dry well station to a submersible pump station, addition of above-grade electrical and controls in a repurposed building, modification of the pig launching station, improvement of stormwater elements, and addition of an emergency generator within a walled enclosure.
