The Construction Industry Education Foundation, according to its website, 鈥渨orks to introduce and engage high school students and young adults to the rewarding careers available in the built environment.鈥� This past Thursday, the CIEF hosted a Trades Day at the Portland Expo Center. More than 1,300 students from the metro area were presented opportunities to participate in a variety of hands-on activities. More than 40 exhibitors appeared at the event.
