Colony Weyrauch, associate architect at CIDA Architects & Engineers, has built an 11-year career marked by technical excellence, client dedication and environmental leadership.

Since joining CIDA, Weyrauch has advanced from intern to associate architect in 2024, taking on increasingly complex responsibilities. She has led multiple award-winning projects, including the Portland Community College Rock Creek Dealer Services Technology Building, which received 91视频 Top Project status, the Diversity Award and LEED Gold certification. The Peterson Hillsboro Campus also earned Top Project status recognition.

Weyrauch鈥檚 approach to client relationships has driven significant business growth for the firm. Her work with the Pap茅 Group expanded CIDA鈥檚 engagement from a single small project in Bend to nearly two dozen projects of varying sizes and complexities. 鈥淪he has been a stellar part of each consultant team with her ability to critically think, problem solve, architectural taste, and especially communication and organization,鈥� noted Quinn Closson, development consultant with Closson Creative, in Weyrauch鈥檚 Phenom nomination form. Closson has worked with Weyrauch over 10 years on multiple projects.

Her leadership extends beyond project delivery. Weyrauch championed modernization efforts within CIDA, including transitioning office payment processing from checks to direct deposit and advocating for clear, collaborative communication standards.

As an integral member of the CIDA Green Team, Weyrauch restructured the team to strengthen the firm鈥檚 environmental practices. She leads in-office recycling initiatives, coordinates specialized recycling efforts and educates clients on sustainable design benefits, including energy efficiency and long-term cost savings. Washington County recognized the originality of her Earth Week initiatives.

Beyond her professional work, Weyrauch maintains active community involvement. She volunteers with Lifeworks NW and the Oregon Humane Society, and helped her family establish a program rehabilitating neglected cats from Hawaii to Oregon. She coordinates volunteering events through CIDA Gives, working with organizations including the ReBuilding Center, Habitat for Humanity and The Salvation Army.

An avid runner, Weyrauch regularly participates in marathons and supports Girls on the Run, a nonprofit promoting social and emotional wellbeing in young girls through running.

Weyrauch earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon School of Architecture & Environment in 2010.
