The Willamette River Stormwater Source Control Improvement Project will involve best practices for stormwater management along portions of U.S. 30 and Interstate 405 that drain to Portland Harbor. The purpose of the proposed action is to reduce stormwater pollutants draining from Oregon Department of Transportation facilities to Portland Harbor and downstream waters. This will satisfy commitments ODOT has made with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and secure a source control determination from DEQ. The specific site for consideration is located at the western footing of the Fremont Bridge. Underground water quality structures for stormwater conveyance treatment facilities will be installed on the site.
