BBT Architects, a Bend-based architecture firm celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, serves public and mission-driven clients across Oregon through education, healthcare, commercial and community-based projects.

The firm has completed more than 200 educational projects for more than 25 school districts statewide, providing services including long-range planning, bond program implementation, renovations and additions, secure entry upgrades and new learning environments. Current work includes the Bend Senior High School replacement project, one of Central Oregon’s most significant public education investments, where BBT is leading planning and design efforts balancing educational performance, long-term durability and civic identity.

BBT’s practice extends to healthcare facilities, municipal projects and work with mission-driven organizations, often involving active campuses, occupied facilities and highly engaged public stakeholders requiring careful coordination and phased implementation.

The firm has adopted the AIA 2030 Commitment through the American Institute of Architects, aligning its design practice with measurable reductions in energy use and carbon emissions, and has established a Sustainability Action Plan. BBT has embraced principles of the WELL Building Standard, prioritizing occupant health, comfort and well-being alongside environmental performance.
