Howard S. Wright is moving forward with a pair of fire station projects in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

The Washington project is a ground-up build of Fire Station 41 in Camas, a 25,000-square-foot fire station and administrative offices. The project is located in downtown Camas and will serve as the headquarters for the Camas鈥慦ashougal Fire Department鈥檚 fire and emergency services.

Construction on the Washington project is under way.

The construction giant was also recently awarded the Beaverton Station 67 remodel by Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue. The project will be delivered through a progressive design鈥慴uild approach, the contractor said in a news release.

The station aims to improve response capabilities and address long鈥憈erm service needs across 11 cities and portions of four counties. TVF&R is the state鈥檚 largest fire district.

Contractors are continuing to rely on public projects as private-sector development remains slow.

Howard S. Wright previously built the Lake Oswego City Hall and Police Station, the Salem Public Works Operations Building and the Salem Public Library renovation.
