The project is a renovation of the existing building to include a performance hall, rehearsal space and offices. The scope of the renovation includes both the demolition and subsequent addition and/​or replacement of roofing, siding, windows, parapets, interior walls, ceilings, lighting, HVAC and finishes. Existing restrooms on the first and second floor will be retrofitted to meet current accessibility requirements and single user accessible restrooms will be added to the basement and second level. The existing monument sign will be replaced, maintenance shed will be demolished, additional entrance sidewalk will be paved and parking lot landscaping will be modified. Stormwater management will not be affected other than new and improved roof drainage into an existing stormwater system.

Portland Parks Bureau is moving forward on the development of the Steel Bridge Skate Park project in Old Town. It would be situated alongside the western foot of the steel bridge. The site is bound by Northwest Naito Parkway to the east, First Avenue to the west and Northwest Everett Street to the south. The property is located within both dedicated and fee-owned right of way so no tax lot information is available. The project proposes to construct an approximately 35,000- square-foot skate park and plaza. Large portions of the skate park are proposed to include a covered shelter.
