2013 TopProjects: Maryhill Museum of Art Expansion – 1st Place Private Buildings
The Maryhill Museum of Art opened in 1940 with an eclectic collection featuring Rodin sculptures, post-impressionist paintings and Native American basketry 鈥 all on display in a circa 1907 Beaux Arts style mansion with a sweeping view of the Columbia River Gorge. As the collection grew over the decades, the need for more space became critical.
2013 TopProjects: Oregon City Arch Bridge – 1st Place PW/Infrastructure/Transportation
The Oregon City Arch Bridge exceeded its life expectancy by 40 additional years, but recently the need for rehabilitation became apparent. City officials, community residents and the Oregon Department of Transportation all agreed on one thing: any upgrades done to the bridge would need to be handled in a way that would retain the original, definitive art deco style.
