Champoeg park museum move comes with big challenges
In order to keep the Pioneer Mothers Memorial Cabin Museum in Champoeg park from sliding into the Willamette River, the log cabin building will taken apart and then reassembled about a quarter of a mile from its present location. Think along the lines of playing with Lincoln Logs, with a multiplication factor of about 100 times, says museum director Judy Van Atta.
