Buildings and Burgers Play Off – judges needed!
I鈥檓 at 47 burgers now 鈥 do I really need to keep going? Actually, I might as well make it an even 50. With meatless-for-me Lent beginning on Feb. 22, I need to bring this to a close and begin the Lenten best veggie burger search.
5 top burgers in Portland so far
As a result of this newly created ranking system, five burgers on my list scored nearly perfect and all tied for second place with tie breakers coming from the side orders (Foster is still number one, by the way).
3 Portland burgers that you can’t miss
Since my last burger update I鈥檝e had a ridiculous amount of new burger tastings, but only a few that are notable enough from both a burger and a building standpoint: the Gilt Club, Doug Fir Lounge, and Paley鈥檚 Place.
For $19 and $7, which is the better burger?
It鈥檚 always preferable to have great food in an equally great atmosphere (and y鈥檃ll know I鈥檓 still burger questing to find that perfect mix), but such isn鈥檛 always the case here in Portland.
You can’t judge a burger by its building
You can鈥檛 judge a book by its cover, or a great burger by its building (or lack thereof). After 17 burger samplings I realized it was time to revisit my original favorite - Foster Burger.
Besaw’s burger – get it before it’s too late?
[l] I had never been to Besaw鈥檚 鈥 a popular Portland cafe with a longstanding history and a very loyal following 鈥 until last Friday night. I had been wanting to go there, and since it had been on my 鈥淏urger Quest List鈥 (more about that in a minute), I figured I鈥檇 better get there before too much time elapses and it's gone 鈥 or drastically changed.
